Broxtowe's MP, Anna Soubry has represented residents’ views to developers planning 270 houses and facilities in Beeston Rylands.

" I held a "drop in" surgery in the Rylands, which a number of residents attended. I've also received emails from people concerned about the extent of the plans. I've written to the developers who have promised to listen to everyone's views " said Anna.

Most controversial are plans for a two storey leisure and sports club on the Trent Vale Sports ground. "People living nearby make the good point that a single storey building would be better. I'm keen for better sporting facilities on the ground, which everyone in the Rylands can use. I know some residents don't want houses on the ground, which is an important green open space."

Anna has received a number of concerns from Ryland residents about the effect 270 houses will have on already congested roads. "These are all important matters and I am pleased that the developers have agreed to extend their consultation to the end of the week."

The plans include 270 new homes, better sporting facilities, a two storey sports and social club, a local retail zone and a new train station car park
