The Toton branch of Tesco has begun to construct a pod on its grounds without planning permission, to the anger of local residents.  As a result, local councillor Craig Cox has brought the application to be debated in front of the Development Control committee at Broxtowe Borough Council.  The committee will then decide whether or not to grant planning permission.

Local Conservatives reacted to the news that building had begun without permission with some anger, and have worked with residents affected by the building work to find a satisfactory resolution.

Councillor Cox sits on Development Control committee and will be debating the issue along with other councillors.  Local residents are welcome to pass comment at the meeting, which is at Broxtowe Borough Council Town Hall on Monday at 7pm
